Juniper are a fresh, talented and enthusiastic band who would love the opportunity to entertain you and your guests and to help make your corporate function or wedding reception one to remember.
The band of five, consisting of four female and one male musicians, featuring multi-instrumentalists and an amazing vocalist met whilst studying a Bachelors Degree in Music at Edinburgh Napier University.
Individually and as a group they have acquired diverse experience in the music industry, including studio production work, instrumental teaching and performing across Europe. The band have a broad and ever-expanding repertoire, covering the classics of the 50s all the way to the current hits. Juniper will provide an energetic performance displaying exceptional musicianship to keep your guests entertained and ensure the party atmosphere continues throughout the night!
Juniper offers:
- A truly memorable live wedding band experience in Glasgow, Edinburgh, across Scotland and the UK
- Background Music; the band can provide a selection of background music (open to your personalisation) to play between live sets (inclusive of the fee).
- Accommodating of First Dance and favourite song requests. Whether you would prefer a live version performed or for the original recording to be played over the PA system, the band will strive to meet your particular requirements (providing enough notice is given to allow for rehearsal time).
- Ceilidh sets with caller; Juniper can play a live Scottish ceilidh with a modern twist. This can be a short or longer set, dependent on your personal peferences for your event or wedding day. Traditional and modernised ceilidh tunes can also be included led by Junipers’ accomplished fiddle player. The band always have a caller on hand to take everyone - from the uninitiated to experienced - through the joys of ceilidh dancing. Knowing that many guests may have never ceilidh danced before, we try to keep things simple. The typical ceilidh dances that we call are: Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Flying Scotsman, Virginia Reel. Other ceilidh classics include Canadian Barn dance, Circassian Circle and the St Bernard’s Waltz.
